Research and Implementation Programs

The Irsay Institute is charged with increasing collaboration across the communities and campuses of Indiana University. Scientific research shows that these collaborations are key to taking up, developing, rolling out, and translating research to various academic communities where a sociomedical perspective is relevant and essential to understanding and providing sustainable solutions to health and preventative care.

The Irsay leadership has identified six key thematic areas of research concentration to bring together senior and junior researchers for continuity of programs and for practical proposal and project support and mentorship. The goal of The Irsay’s research efforts to implement sustainable solutions is supported by expertise in translating basic research to create sustainable change in services, institutes, and public policies.
