Kosali Simon elected preseident of APPAM

Kosali Simon, a distinguished professor, Paul O’Neill chair at the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and Co-Director of the Irsay Institute, has been announced as president-elect for the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management.

“I am deeply humbled to serve as the next president of APPAM, an organization that has played an integral role in shaping my growth and fostering connections that I value immensely,” Simon said. “Through the hard work of many, APPAM has become a venue with incredible impact on public decision making, scholarship, and supporting a rich pipeline into our profession.” Simon is a nationally known health economist who specializes in applying economic analysis in the context of health insurance and healthcare policy.
