Biography

Siyun Peng is Assistant Research Scientist of Sociology at Indiana University. His research interests lie in the areas of aging, Alzheimer’s Disease, health inequalities, social networks, and quantitative methods. He has a broad background in sociology, gerontology, and statistics, with specific training and expertise in adopting a life course perspective to examine social determinants of health. He is currently doing research using network analysis to understand whether stimulating environments can slow the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. He is also interested in reducing social isolation among the aging population.
